COVID-19 (coronavirus) is a serious public health crisis facing our nation and our communities. We at the Del Norte County Regional Airport are taking this crisis very seriously and are doing what we can to ensure the health and safety of airport users. As aviation is a sub-sector of transportation, which is considered a "Critical Infrastructure Sector" by the federal government, the airport is required to remain open during emergencies such as this. We are however urging those who do not need to travel to please not travel at this time.

We are increasing efforts at our passenger terminal to ensure clean and sanitary conditions for airport users. Again, we strongly discourage non-essential travel at this time however if you do find yourself needing to travel please take all precautionary measures currently being recommended by public health officials including regular hand-washing, social distancing, etc.

In response to Executive Order N-33-20 issued by the Governor on March 19, 2020 for all Californians to remain sheltered in place in their homes, except for conducting essential business, the Airport Authority's Administrative Office will be closed to the public effective March 20, 2020. Airport Authority staff remain available to the public during normal business hours via telephone and email.
